1. For a follow-up from my webquest the students could create a vodcast providing examples of stress management techniques. Such as yoga, exercise, relaxation. The students will explain the techniques and how they can be helpful.
2. Students will identify their role model and explain why they look up to this person and explain the "greatness" of this person.
3. Students will read parts of a short story and predict the ending. They can hypothesize the ending based on what they read and the title of the book. It will give them a chance to be creative with their thoughts.

I like the follow up idea on stress mngmt. Like you mentioned, they can be creative and maybe even make their own activity. THey will actually releive stress by doing the activity too. It may also give them a further in depth look at something that can be very beneficial to them.
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of the kids making their vodcast on how they reduce stress. I like the idea of them contributing to each others stress relief and hearing about how their peers handle stress. This could make them feel more camaraderie and less alone in their struggles. I also really like the idea of the story as a vodcast. I may actually steal that idea for my little ones!
ReplyDeleteYour role model project is also quite good in that it will force them to learn about someone they admire, and then be specific about why they feel they are so important to them.
